MorningStar’s Efforts to Help Find a Cure for Alzheimer’s Disease

MorningStar at Bear Creek provides personalized, loving assisted living for dementia patients. We bring a holistic approach to caring for those with memory impairment from the onset of the disease right through to the most advanced stages.  We consider serving seniors our calling, and as we have seen firsthand the traumatizing effects of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, we join our parent company, MorningStar Senior Living in their efforts to end Alzheimer’s.

Throughout the year, our community participates in events that help to raise funds as well as awareness for Alzheimer’s disease, and it is our honor to partner with the Alzheimer’s Association as MorningStar Senior Living does in every market we serve.  Some of these activities include getting a team together to participate in the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” event, which takes place this year in Colorado Springs on September 21st.  Participants include staff members, family members and friends who will join the fun as walkers, runners, exhibitors, and sponsors.  The 5K walk is the world's largest event and raises funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.  Each year our collective MorningStar communities have helped raise a lot of money toward a cure.

MorningStar at Bear Creek also participants in the uplifting “The Longest Day” celebration, which takes place each year in June on the Summer Solstice.  It too is an effort to raise funds and awareness of Alzheimer’s along with a way to honor those suffering from the disease.  The day-long event is sure to be filled with fun and entertainment as we share a message of hope and compassion.

At MorningStar at Bear Creek, our residents are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve and spend each day in an atmosphere that celebrates and elevates their lives. Please visit our website for information on pricing and availability or to set up a tour.
